Walking by a convention table, in the time of conventions before the fallout of 2020, you’ll find many artists sitting beside their portfolios filled with paintings, drawings, and digital work. Some have intricate sculptures standing on their table. Others work with more niche disciplines, creating something unique from their own mind.
The question is, are these artists creating what their mind has imagined in its originality, or are they creating what they see as an intuitive?
I believe many are creating their intuitive experience without ever knowing it.
Working with many artists over the past several years, I can say with certainty that most artists don’t understand the fine line between creativity and the imagined, the ability to perceive what cannot be perceived by our physical senses. Imagination is not always a falsehood of our creative mind.
We can think of many non-existent creatures and likenesses of different beings to fit our stories, our emotions, and other creative needs. However, creativity steps on the line of the imagined, empathic capabilities of our conscious selves. It tip toes across the line from time to time when you aren’t used to controlling it.
When you don’t know how to control your conscious mind, your creativity might completely step over the line, interact with another conscious being, and give you an amazing experience, one you think is a creative falsehood. It’s in working with consciousness that we can understand the difference between the truly creative and the perception of something beyond our senses.
Meditate to understand the truly imagined and truly creative.
By meditating, by reaching into the universe and working on connecting our conscious mind to Mother Earth, beings of the skies, and those living far on the edges of the stars, we build an awareness of consciousness, allowing us to understand if we are seeing a creative falsehood or a real, sometimes physical, entity trying to communicate with us.
I’ve watched artists sculpt Fae beings, work on drawing dark energies, and paint gorgeous goddesses, never understanding that these were real beings coming through their mind’s eye. They are the muses to their work. These beings are not just trying to be represented, they are trying to communicate.
I can see the energy at work, the connection an artist is making without knowing it. Whether you write, draw, sculpt, paint, or use another medium to create your work, ask yourself, “Am I creating this from my mind, or is someone or something trying to say hello?”
Maybe you’ll meet someone magical. Maybe you’ll make a new friend, one who goes on the journey with you for life.
Have you ever seen Brian Froud’s work? He creates artistic renditions of the Fae—goblins, elves, gnomes, and other creatures—who he sees, sits with, and communicates with to bring awareness of their kind to the world. These beings are very real, very conscious and standing right beside us.
The next time you create, listen to those voices in your mind. Are they trying to work with you, send you a message, or just become a friend? Do the work, meditate, strengthen your spiritual being, and you’ll reap the rewards of communication with the most magical aspects of our misunderstood universe.

October 15th was a fascinating day about the sudden onset of climate change. I opened a wormhole, viewed my star map index, and spun through to my destination somewhere in our galaxy. An icy planet
There’s a misconception of what “dark” means in the world of spirituality. Those who don’t work with dark beings think they are filled with evil and malice. That’s just not true. Dark Beings Are Far From the Malicious Creatures of Our Horror Stories. Some resemble those creatures in their physical
