There’s a misconception of what “dark” means in the world of spirituality. Those who don’t work with dark beings think they are filled with evil and malice. That’s just not true.
Dark Beings Are Far From the Malicious Creatures of Our Horror Stories.
Some resemble those creatures in their physical forms. Just because they look scary, alien, horrific in nature, doesn’t mean they exhibit evil qualities.
Sometimes the most beautiful creatures in the world are the most dangerous, the most ill-intentioned. From a mythological standpoint, think of the beauty of the sirens and their songs pulling sailors towards dangerous shores to sink their ships.
In our physical world, think of those truly evil people who were successful in their horrific activities. Ted Bundy, a serial killer who claimed to have killed thirty women in brutal ways, was known for being an extremely attractive man, drawing the interest of women even while he was on trial.
Beauty can be deceptive.
So can deformity and hideousness.
Dark Beings Don’t Judge Based on Appearance
Dark beings are some of the kindest, most loving beings in the universe. They understand their form, their nature. Not like humans.
Humans judge based on looks. If something looks unnatural, it scares us. Take the xenomorph from the 1979 movie Alien. Most people see it as a horrific creature from the scariest nightmares.
I see it as a creature of beauty.
Lady Death, a dark being concerned with the balance of life and death, is absolutely stunning in her human form with ebony skin, tall hair, and shimmering green dress.
This isn’t her real form. It’s a form used to work with humans, a form we can easily digest.
Her real form looks like someone took a xenomorph, a walking stick, and some other creatures, smashed them together, and came up with this nightmarish being likely to make people cower in fear. Despite this physical appearance, she is full of love and positive intentions.
Many beings, Fae, extraterrestrials, interdimensionals, and even those in our own natural world have “dark” likenesses, but they are far from it. I’ve always found them beautiful, feeling the intentions of their being versus the shape of their physical form. Maybe that’s why Lady Death came to me along with the others who would be considered dark beings.
Working With Death Isn’t Evil
Lady Death is a being of death. She works with it, teaching me to do the same. Working with death is often misunderstood, seen as a dark practice, something malicious witches and wizards would perform. Death is a natural cycle of our life on this Earth. It’s a natural cycle of consciousness, moving us into the next realm.
Working with death is working with life. It is far from a dark practice, depending on how you utilize it. Everything is in the intention, the goal you are achieving. The work I do with death is about balancing the world, bringing things back into harmony.
Death is out of balance in our world, and most don’t even perceive it. It’s completely misunderstood. The work is far from being an evil, dark practice. Life is the ultimate goal—bringing positive change to a world out of balance.
As you work through the magical world of consciousness, don’t fall into the trap of believing “dark” means evil. When you meet a being, trust your conscious gut, your intuition, to tell you if they are good or evil. Don’t let the fear of their immense power overwhelm you.
Just because they are powerful, just because they resemble something from a horror movie, doesn’t mean they have ill-intentions. When they say they want you to work with death, it doesn’t mean you are doing something evil. Learn from those willing to teach you as long as their intentions are pure.
