Revenge of the Brownie
“I may look like a teddy bear, but I’m no teddy bear.” Twirling her blades, she said, “Let’s see what your insides look like, honey.”
Jake struggles through his life filled with violent monsters, but he never expected his closet to hide one, to conceal a creature from the myths of the past.
Trying to determine which monster he should fear, Jake will spark an unlikely friendship with one named Bonnie before finding himself thrown into a conflict between her and another hidden in plain sight. The real danger kidnaps Jake’s family and his friend, Amy, with intentions known only to the monsters of the world.
Can Bonnie save Jake and Amy before time runs out, or will a vendetta destroy those she now protects?
Find out in Revenge of the Brownie, a story in The Fae Awakening universe.

The Modern World has Faeries (sic)
WARNING: This story does include an abusive drunken husband and father but does not contain scenes of actual physical abuse. There is also a bully at school who engages in physical and emotional abuse. The emotional and mental damage experienced by Jake from his father, Isaac, and the physical abuse from the bully, Sean, mount until a sudden and surprising turn of events. Jake received help from the book’s namesake brownie, Bonnie. After the turn of events, Bonnie comes into her own and the story then centers around Bonnie and her story.
This book contains two storylines both handled well and blended to form this book.
Despite the scenes of abuse and bullying, I recommend this book since Will O Shire resolves the problems when the turn-of-events occurs and due to Bonnie’s story.

Great story
I'm yet to read a story by this author that I didn't enjoy, and this one is no exception. It takes a minute for the plot to kick-in, but once it does it grabs you by the toes and doesn't let go.
I mostly enjoy the variety of magical/mythical beings that are thrown together in this world that Will O'Shire has created, and their traits and interactions with each other.
Will is truly great at crafting plots and characters. I feel, however, that the delivery or presentation of their stories is slightly flawed. The writing is sometimes a little stilted and simplistic. I think, perhaps, another editing pass to smooth out the prose would be of great benefit.

It is action packed while the characters and world are well developed.
Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ARC from the author and this is my honest and unsolicited opinion.

Vengeance of the HOA – The Llama #1
Vengeance of the HOA spawned from a combination of Twitter threads, cult rulings, and Solar Opposites. This is the first installment. If you like it, share it on Twitter and tag me so I know to continue the story. 🙂 Filled with llamas, ninjutsu, waffles, goblins, punch, and pie, it
Tharmit the Marmot
Tharmit the marmot beared no resemblance to a marmot. The stocky dwarf walked into the gas station, shoving a frail human to the side. His bulky armor clanged through the aisle. Passing an end cap full of chips, the battle-axe hanging at his side caught the edges, tearing the bags
The Trash Collector
Kevin jumped into the air, swinging his leg in a perfect roundhouse kick. He boxed an invisible, imaginary specter, a memory of his friends standing in front of him. As he calmed himself with a slow breathing exercise, he turned to the darkened room with a light hanging from a
